Rode this baby back to 1984 (but don't tell anybody)

Went searching for a sale and found one of those houses that has sales regularly (junk)
but saw this out in the lawn and had to take a little better look.8-)

Pretty complete minus front turn signals and the owner wanted $100.
Does it run? "No", she says and I test to make sure it has engine compression.
How about $50. I offer. Okay she says and I get a bill of sale and load her up.
Nice little "80's 49cc moped/scooter.

A little fresh gas and she starts on third kick.:wrench:
Rode around my neighborhood for and hour and loved it, there will be no pictures
of me riding, thanks. You know it didn't really happen if there are no pictures!!!:laughing7:

That reminds me of the old politically incorrect joke about how a moped & a fat chick are the same.

I bought an old moped for $50 about a year ago. Sadly, I couldn't get it running. Ended up breaking even on the deal.

That sucks. I like seeing older engines get running again, especially when you can ride/drive them.
I figured if I had to part it out over time there would be some money in it.

Love it. My neighbor had one similar that could pedaled like a bike or gas driven. Late 70's were great time to be preteen!

That's what mopeds are (classically). I do know that some newer mopeds are now classified by their engine size and may lack pedals.
