I know this is more for metal detecting and relics etc. but do you know what this is, its a hardness of about 7.5 up to 8.5 Mohs scale that I have found. I want to call it agate but I have only found a few pieces that are banded. so should I really call it a agate? Breaks a lot like obsidian with smooth face with jagged and sharp edges.

Agree with Smokeythecat. One of the many types of microcrystalline quartz.

I have a soft spot for chalcedony…I found this piece within the last week…I think it may even be an Apache artifact…But what do I know???

Yes, its a nice agate. Not banded, but remember, the chalcedonys, agates, jaspers, etc. are all types of quartz. Nice find.
I have quite a few of this agate my favorite is probably this one hard to see on this camera. Thanks
for the help(:

Looks very much like a Luna Blue Agate from around the Luna and Reserve areas of New Mexico.
