I’m gunna assume like most things this is something that happens natural to a rock. If I’m wrong please let me know. It just looked different and stood out. Thanks

Not sure if it's an artifact but that's a cool looking rock.

I had a good feeling it was natural but the only this that made me curious was the hole or bowl had a shiny polished look and I thought I read somewhere to look for area on rocks that are polished but maybe I mis understood.

It looks natural, however, it looks like natural agate or petrified wood in gem quality. Very nice.

You have an enigma here. I would do much more examination on this item. Please keep us advised. If it's soapstone it could be a preform of some kind.

I would not clean it anymore. Even if natural, its cool.

Ok I cleaned it once with a soft brush and just water only to remove the dirt and stuff in the crevices but I won’t need to clean it further. I found it in a sugar cane field in south Louisiana near the Mississippi River. I’ll continue to do research on it. Thanks for the replies
