Rock with some metal in it

Found this on an island in MA while detecting.
not all of it is metal but some parts of it is metal
meteoroid ? or slug?
any idea

It is very difficult, if not impossible to determine if it is or is not a meteorite just by looking at photos.
you need to cut off a piece and test it by looking for structures, like crystals, which do not form in space.
with that said, given the location and photo, it could be a meteorite from what I can see.

If it is iron ore, filing a window into it will not be hard. If it is a meteorite, filing a window will take time and effort...
