It will probably be attracted to a strong magnet....iron mineral of some type.
PS That rock and others it's size would be long gone before I got down to panning out flake gold. Gold competes best when panned with like size material.

I tried today; it does not stick to a strong magnet.
 

Looks like it might be hematite....weakly magnetic would fit. You might do a streak test. if it streaks dark orange or brown it's probably hematite.

In York county and Lancaster county there are occurrences of rutile. That is an ore of titanium. This is not rutile but we find them with the rutiles all the time. Likely a mix of low grade iron with some titanium thrown in, namely ilmenite although ilmenite usually has a platy crystal structure. We call them ilmenites that didn't make it.
