I have a question about a large rock outcrop that is 50ft up the mountain with a dry creek below. The out crop has several large areas of what looks like white quarts sandwiched between the outcrop. My question is do i dig below the outcrop or a few feet away or in the dry creek ? Here is a pic off google maps sorry for low quality. I am looking for gold deposits so i guess i will fill some buckets and bring home. There is a creek across the road with water flowing maybe do some test pans ?

I would take my divining rods. Failing that take samples from any quartz or similar reef that is visible to the eye off the rock fronts. Good luck...
