It looks like a fired lead bullet which came to a sudden stop.
Lead oxidises to that white/grey colour in a lot of soils.
Is it heavy for its size? That would indicate lead.
Try poking a pin into it and see if it is soft, or scratch it and see if it shines like lead below the surface.
