Road to 100oz

Im pretty sure it takes 100 ASE to make 100 oz - if my math is correct.

I was wondering how many half dollars it takes to make 100oz so I did a little research.

It takes:
1,777 nickels
1,384 dimes
554 quarters
677 40%ers
277 90%ers

Silver dollars and ASE didn't concern me because you really can CRH them.

Thanks for this info

Sooooo then by my calculations I should reach 100oz by 2016 lol

29 dimes + 19 nickels + 25 40% + 4 90% halves
every month
times 12 months
equals 100.6 oz silver in a year.

My 20/20/20 boxes plan *could* get me to this total, but I'd probably have to up the number of halves I do to average 25&4.

I pray every night before I fall asleep!

Me to IMA call every bank in a 50 mile radius next day off. Also check on my main bank the vault manager holds customer rolls for me :) they love me at that bank lol

The dump banks going to want you dead lol

Actually I have a pretty good groove going with dump banks. I have 3 branches where I can dump 2 bags of halves every week, and 3-4 more where I can dump 1-2 bags of nickels/dimes/cents a week. It involves a lot of strategic planning, but I'm not overwhelming any one bank so far with the 20/20/20 approach.

Any of them ever give you dirty looks?

There are a few manager types here and there who shoot the dirty looks, and a few tellers with the "oh no, it's *that* guy" look. But overall I avoid banks where there is a really negative vibe. Just being friendly, positive and patient is 95% of the game. I know a lot of people on here dump a whole lot more coin than I do, but I think they'd say the same thing, that being friendly is the key.

I get that look from a teller at a pick up bank so I avoid that one. All the other tellers can care less and they pass me my clad with a smile. My dump bank charges 1% so that is no big deal. I don't think they are going to care if I go in there alot since they are making money.
