rivers in the Brads?

Here are some pictures of the Agua Fria river around BCC in the Bradshaws......The water level has dropped by 1/2 the volume as seen in these pictures, these pictures were taken around 10am......the river crested at 1200am last night. The one thing I did notice was that the new sand bars were heavy in black sands......still very rich in minerals...

oh yea in the last picture you can see a long white object in the middle of the river......that was a bus/rv that floated away......

i was out yesterday and it looks like most of the washes moved some gold and dirt.
going to be a good winter for mining and nugget hunting.
i found some gold dust panning, a desert tortoise on the road, and eyeballed a 1951 penny on bedrock.
might go out today.
a few pics here http://picasaweb.google.com/leadnugget/20100122#
danb looks like i just missed you, pics are from same area about 8am.
turkey should be running nice, last time i went up after a good rain the road past pine flat turned to clay goo and had to turn back
after getting stuck.

I'd love to go out and find my first bit of color and from what I understand, this would be the best time.
I've got a pretty capable vehicle and free time this weekend. I have a detector, pans and a sleuce for what its worth.
