Hey everyone. I found a couple nice points today climbing around some huge boulders on the river and thought I'd share. I couldn't believe the quartz one wasn't broken! It was just laying in a pile of rocks that washed into a gap between two large rocks. The other rock I'm assuming is a geofact but its pretty cool. holtwood1.webpholtwood 2.webpholtwood3.webp

Love that quartz, the other piece, is it stone, pottery perhaps?
Nice finds.

Beautiful quartz point! :icon_thumleft:

What a sweet point...isn't it amazing that after 1000s of years it is still intact?...nice find!

It's hard to find point's around here when there is a lot of other gravel and small stone(we don't have large stone here), but you can do it. Nice finds:icon_thumleft:

That's quartz one is a pointy one. Thanks for sharing.

Nice finds.

Thanks. The other piece is stone. I thought it was weird that it has that perfect horizontal line and the hole. I found it on a steep hill over looking the river.

All 3 look like keepers to me. The quartz being the nicest of course. The one with the hole in it looks like a drilled piece to me. Is it stone or pottery? Might be part of a stone bowl. I have found 2 pieces of stone bowls from my area, 2 different types of stone. Here is my latest piece. This is stone and not pottery.
