river bank finds

i noticed on the way home from work that they(the environment agency) had scraped back the other side of the bridge they did 6 months ago! the river bank that is,taking off about 18 inches.

didn't find much as it is still too close to the bridge and im sure they have reinforced it with steel somehow, so if you go near its deafening. plus theres too much crap(spark plugs,car mud flaps etc)!

i found a large buckle(any idea on age)?

and my seven year old daughter holly eyeballed this piece of "pottery"?? that had fell into the river, guess who had to retrieve it

she wanted me to post it anyway

thanks matt but ive just worked out what that is.thought it looked familiar its easily as early as 21st century

its a salt sellar from the pub on the river mind you it was converted into flats five years ago

I think kycanine is probably correct. Looks like a heads pipe to me too.
