Toby Keith was a True American Patriot who sang of Patriotism in a lot of his songs. He had a True Testimony of Spirit and Love of country. Mr. toby Keith said in interviews that he liked to have given up on a music career more than once. He was an oilfield worker working oil wells by day and playing nowhere honky tanks at night I believe in Oklahoma. He stuck it out and pursued his dream and made it...made it big. Living proof that if you believe in yourself and work hard and make a few sacrifices along the way, you can live the American dream. A funny story I heard about one of Toby Keith's daughters, was that she had come home from school upset one day. It seemed that kids were teasing her calling her and her family "Rednecks". What did her daddy do? He sat down and wrote a song, "They're just "Rednecks" with Money. He sold a million copies. This is the American way! I'm sure the Keith's laughed all the way to the bank. Toby Keith was one of my latest favorite country singers besides George Strait. Toby Keith just didn't write and sing about America and the American way of life......He Lived It! God Bless him and his entire family during this difficult time. He will be Truly missed. 🇺🇸

A fellow Oklahoman of mine from Moore, OK (tornado target, buddy) and actually most of us could relate to him way more better than to Garth Brooks, who has more money than his grandkids could ever spend. (Hope he always remembers makin that remark) Toby Keith could be aggravatin sometimes, but he had some great tunes, and as we say, over all, he was a pretty good ol boy.
