My Equinox 600 has been a trusty tool for a number of years. It’s been through a lot… broken both shafts, replaced coils, epoxy, zip ties, replaced batteries, sent head unit back, etc. it has been on life support for a few months now, battery goes from full to dead in an hour or lasts a week, or works for 20 minutes then a CD or ER error, have to total reset. 3 or 4 times an hour and unplug the coil and re sync headphones … enough. I unplugged him for the last time. Just ordered a 700.

Finds here are a mixture of 1800’s site and mid 1900 site. Unusual silver find was cool, first glass bridal rosette and my favorite find is the wick cutter or maybe my first CW hanger? We’ll see how the 700 stacks up.

Was the utensil handle silver? I cannot really tell from the lighting. It kind of has the same color as the copper/brass items, but it also looks thin enough to be weighted sterling.

Mine was good to me also....I beat it up good.....even flew out of my truck and skidded down the highway. Ill send it back even though it's out of warranty....the 700 has been good too.....only had it out a dozen times, and its grrrrrreat !! Similar but a little bit better !! You'll like it !!

Second hunt with 700....giant platinum and machine had earned more than its purchase price !!

Great set of finds! I really like diggin' old house sites. I think it was Forrest Gump that said "digging old house sites is like a box of chocolates"

Looks like she treates you well

Well it worked well I see.
But really a detector should be manufactured to a certain quality that it's not snapping, cracking, leaking, breaking at all.
The brains of the Minelabs are top shelf, it's the body that they've lacking on it seems over these past few years.

The fancy utensil handle is plated

Your Nox sure went out with a bang! Congrats on the many finds. I love my Equinox, but I have had issues with it too. Mine is sounding sort of muffled lately and makes big objects like cans sound small. Also struggles to run quiet, if that makes sense. Good luck with the new machine.

Thx! I’m hoping the learning curve is short. I got a good deal on it, hopefully, hasn’t arrived yet. Also considered the Legend as it was also in my price range.
