ITS ROMAN AND ITS WHAT THEY CALLED A " PHU'YAL" , THE ROMAN SENATE DURRING THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE INSTRUCTED SOME SENATORS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE TO CAST OFF THEIR SENATE SIGNATS AND BURRY THEM IN THE HOME TOWNS OR PRAVINCIAL LOCALITIES. TO AVADE CAPTURE, MOST DID AS INSTRUCTED AND MANAGED TO AVOID THE KHIFE :'( THE RING THAT YOU HAVE THERE IS WORTH ABOUT 2 TO 3 THOUSAND :o
NOW, THIS IS A PROTECTED TREASURE THAT YOU HAVE THERE, SO WHEN YOU CALL YOUR LOCAL ANTIQUITIES OFFICIAL, LET HIM/HER KNOW WHAT YOU HAVE FOUND! "PHU'YAL" IS PRONOUNCED AS FOLLOWS;
FOOL- YOU- ALL. ;D

I think if you whack it with a hammer, that nodule of rust will fall off and we are back to a washer of some type. ;D
