Swedish, based a couple of things: the mark you suggest may be a crown is actually three crowns (one on bottom two on top). And the L8 mark seems to match their date code for 1937.

From what I understand the first mark will be the makers mark, second will be the city. I suspect the name inscribed was the owner.
