Found this ring at a house that my brother, his friend, and I searched today with my at pro. The lady who lost it was shocked that we could find the ring in her yard which was about 3 acres in size. She lost it in college and assumed it would be lost forever. It was worth checking her yard even though we found hardly anything to see the smile on her face and her putting the ring back on her finger where it belonged.

Nice job, we need good reps of our hobby!

That is so true. The lady thought we were going to ruin her grass or take her scrap metal in the backyard. Through this she will hopefully share the story to others that metal detecting is a good hobby and not a "crime" like most people think.

Very nice of you guys to look for her ring for her. Very nice job!

Thank you, making even a small effort to help somebody can make their day. It was the first ring of about 20 I could find the owner of.

Good thing ya done, bet it made her happy..

It most definitely did! Her parents are the ones who gave us permission to check the yard. I am sure they are happy they let us check it now.

Good work, you help represent the hobby in a positive way!

Best of Luck!

Thanks Rusty! I have only returned a cross before to a relative. I hope I can start finding and returning more things I find.

Thank you , returned my second ring at a beach this past weekend.

Hey Tecta, It's great you enjoy helping people out - I recommend you check Craigslist under the lost+found section, have you tried that? I am so surprised at how many people lose rings, or jewlery for that mattery and post it on craigslist.

What state are you in? I noticed from the name you may be a New Englanda'

Keep up the good work

I am in Michigan, thanks for the feedback. I have returned another sterling ring since. I will check Craigslist tonight to see if anybody in my area lost any rings.

A little late but...NICELY DONE SIR!
