I have 2 rings that we inherited that appear to be platinum, but of course may not be. I need to decipher the markings inside the rings so I know whether to send them to Goodwill, or have them remade into something I would wear. What I see is 14K CE E8PO.
Does anyone know what that means?

Unfortunately GE is Gold Electroplated.

I'm sure that is what it says. Not unfortunate at all. :D I can give them both away without any guilt now. But they are a shiny silver color, not gold. Huh.

If it is marked 14k GE ESPO then it is gold plated. White gold plating is done in an electrolytic bath with gold cyanide as the gold source, with nickel cyanide and zinc cyanide in which the nickel and zinc codeposit with the gold to produce a bright white colored finish.

Costume jewelry.

Apparently someone PM'd me (I'm assuming it was about this post), and I didn't see the pm, so it's been deleted. If you wanted to reach me, please PM again and I'll check this time. :-)

Sorry for the multi picture lol anyone knows how much this is worth

Best way is to look up ebay sold listings for ESPO solitaire rings. Most ESPO gold plated rings I would expect to sell around $10-20. Apparently there is a decent market for sterling rings by ESPO, with some selling $30 and up. I don't see that exact model at a glance, though.

Costume jewelry is funny when it comes to price, especially since there is no precious metal for a loose starting point. It's worth as much as someone will pay for it.
