Good Evening

My father-in-law has been in possession of a ring he found on a street in Northampton UK around 1950.

I have looked at the Hallmark and it appears to have been made by Baskin Bros.

It appears that Baskin Bros are no longer in business but I have been unable to find any information about them.

I have attached photos of the ring together with my facsimile of the Hallmark and I would appreciate any information on the ring, time of manufacture, possible worth (it is in quite condition) and also any information about Baskin Bros.

Many thanks for looking at this.

Regards

Chris

As best I can tell, Baskin Brothers began using that mark @ 1907. They continued in business at least until the early 1950's. 1952 is the last reference I found.

I saw a couple of similar style BB rings on-line. Most said 1920's or 30's. A couple were listed for $400 - $500 US. But of course, you can ASK any price...

Your pic is small and I can't tell anything about the setting. Looks cool, though. I'd wear it.
