Re: Ring help

Looks more like a German WWII aviator skull ring. I think that's what they are called. I googled aviator skull rings and came up with some very similar.

It is not real turquoise; it is what is used in a lot of costume jewelry since the late 60's. It is little squared off pieces of plastic with a colored epoxy over them. Blue makes a very pretty imitation turquoise.

Thanks Snowdragon,, I new there was something different about this ring
When I found it, it was so crusted, I almost tossed it in my junk ring pile
Took some time to get it clean

Yes, youre welcome, but if either of you have found the match would you be kind enough to post it. It would be easier than for me to do a search on something already solved. .. I have not found it.

Yes it is very close. Nice find. Is it sterling silver? Do you think its genuine? The torqoise colored stuff makes me wonder.

The green stuff in the googles kind of reminds me of those xmas ornaments I made as a kid. You put little platic pellets into a metal frame and baked them, causing them to melt. Almost looks like someone did that to one of the rings to the right.
