RK: You're 1st pic is a US Military Expert Marksman Badge. It looks like the same style from the 60's!

P.S. The pic is upside down!

Joe

You are correct sir.....it is a marksman metal after qualifing on the rifle range. Don't know about the other services but we had these in the U.S.M.C. around 1973. It does appear that it is right side up in the picture as the holes in which it hung from are at the top. Have a great day all....HH...gred573

Maybe I CRS, but I'm pretty sure that the qualifying weapons bars hung from the holes. For example, Rifle, then Pistol, then
Machine Gun,etc...

If I'm wrong, I apologize!

If I'm right, you owe me $1M.

Joe

Yup, the badge is upside down. Had one.

I found a silver ring about 2 weeks ago with the same type stone in it, and just about the same size.
Recently I found a larger silver ring and it had a piece of malakyte in it, also spelled malachite.

Well I thought perhaps it was jade, but learned that malakyte is also used in silver jewelry. It's either one, i think, or it's something else. Who cares?

RKinOI, There's a few of us in your area that get together once a month, sometimes more. Get in touch if your interested.

Sorry Joe............how would you like your 1million as it looks like I caught a case of CRS.....you are right, it is I who needs to apologize....crow served warm is indeed a fine meal....lol. HH gregd573

i was only kidding, no apology necessary! And as far as the $1M goes, send it to Marc for my Charter Membership!!

Nice Finds!

Joe ;D
