All Treasure Hunting
We finally got a good weather day here on the shores of Lake Erie. I grabbed my F70 and headed to a local park I hunted twice for an hour or so earlier this week. Dug a few modern coins and then I got a solid signal about 3" down. Dug out a plug and thought I saw silver. When I picked it out of the dirt, this revealed itself. There was a young family nearby and the guy kind of smiled at me all decked out in my treasure hunting gear. I smiled back and said "ring". "No way" he comes back and he and his wife make a beeline for me. They look it over and I can tell she likes it.

Anyway, I need help ID'ing this puppy. It's stamped "155" on the inside and there's some sort of makers mark which is too small for my tired eyes to make out. My wife is especially impressed with the eight prongs holding the gemstone.

Sweet ring ! :headbang:

Pretty ring!!! Not really sure what the 155 means though.

pretty ring .. If you look at the first pic on the right side looks like it says ster as in sterling.

Sorry about my photography - may camera really doesn't get in too close in macro mode so I'm holding a 4x jewelers loupe in front of the lens.

The mark on the right side looks like just a flaw to me. I won't know until I take this to the jewelers today.
