Woke up to -12 degrees this morning. Brrrrr. We've been spaired the heavy snow, but we got plenty cold air. Weatherman says low 40's later today. Kewl. (he lied, it got to 31, lol) My chores today take me downtown to pick up a prescription for the wife. Might be able to get some detecting done, so I dress warm.
The pharmacy says it wont be ready for a couple hours. It's still cold, but I've got some time. I head to the closest park which is right downtown.
Acacia Park, 1 square block downtown Colorado Springs. I normally wont hit this park because it's normally is loaded with high schoolers and the homeless. I've go there early Sunday mornings when I do visit it, but todays pretty cold and the park is empty.
5 quarters into the meter gives me 1 1/4 hours. I'm off! I see pennies in the snow already! Might be a good day. Right to the Tot Lot. I get a signal under the slide. Using my feet I uncover a ring! (igotaringigotaringigotaring) Now thats a good start! The rest of the tot lot gives 8 cents.
Checking a close by hill I get another signal in the frozen grass. I get a palm sized patch out and find my target is in it. cool. Right then 2 homeless gentlemen walk by and ask if I'm finding anything. I tear open the patch in front of them and theres ANOTHER RING (igot2ringsigot2ringsigot2rings) It's a cheap aluminum one with no markings, but a ring is a ring. I spoke with these men for awhile and even gave them some cash before they left. Good people who fell on hard times.
So now I got 2 rings and one of my faverot sculptures is right there. Bella and the Bug. I raised Great Danes for over 24 years and I really like this one. Makes for a good backdrop for some picks.

It has a S in it and I was thinking it may be silver, but it seems that its pewter. The other is a cheapo but it's a 2 ring day!
Time has run out, the script wont be ready today, so it's time to go home to a peanut butter sandwich and some tomato soup. Mmmmmmmmm
