I had a little time this morning, couldn't go to far,so I tried a park close to me that I have never been to. Dug a few pull tabs and bits of canslaw,a couple memorials and then I got a solid quarter hit. Two inches down pulled out the silver ring. Looks like mother of pearl stones. It's not marked, but it is silver and the first ring I have found in a long time. Started swinging again and two feet away found the cheap gold? Ricky playboy medal. Also found a zoo souvenir and a few more memorials and had to leave. Had some errands to run, and my bride and I stopped at an antique store. I found the 1962 set of unciculated coins for 15.00 bucks. I probably paid to much, but had to have it. The 1885 Argentina 2 cent was 5.00,had to have that too! LOL
I went back to the park for an hour in the afternoon. There was a guy out there with a minelab,so I walked over to him and said " is there room enough for two?" he said "there will be three of us" I looked and ther was another guy over by the swings. He looked at my XLT and with an attitude said " I didn't think anybody used those things anymore" I felt kind of snubbed and almost started crying,( I made the crying part up,but I did feel snubbed) LOL. I didn't find anything good for the next hour I stayed. Those guys must have cleaned out the whole park! LOL
HH and I hope everyone is finding the good stuff!

I happend to also come across one of those Argentina coins about a year ago, only mine was a very high grade. Cost me just a few dollars and sold it for $300.

That coin from Argentina is cool. How big is that thing? large cent size?

The good thing about coins is that they increase in value as the years pass. I dont think you overpaid and in 20 or 30 years it will seem like you stole them for that price. ;D

Diehard, some nice finds you got yourself there. Oh, and the coins you got at the shop, who's to say you over paid. You had to have them and now you do. Sometimes its the memories you pay for anyway. Happy Hunting and the gus with the Minelab, phew.......
