I like this stuff pretty good . I run my 30 mesh down crush over 10 ft .
of sluice ( at home ) with only this stuff ( no riffle or other ) .
Actually it would be only 9 ft. of the mat cause I have a foot of slick when
it drops from 10" to 12" to 18" in width . It's durable and is very
effective with fine stuff and the proper flow . Works for me anyhow.

it all works fine! i use the triangle shaped ribbed matting.just remeber to screen your material and run each screening seperatly and slowly!and use somesort of sufactant like jetdry to keep the fines from floating.

Takota: VERY nice pis you got there. They round out your post very nicely. Tnx! TTC

Did anyone else tack on "for her comfort" when they read the subject?

I'd try that goldhog stuff just to see if it lives up to the hour + video on it.

I got a couple feet of that basic floor v-matting at ACE.

There was a mine supply here(Robs)that was testing some fantastic matt, that the mold cost $60,000 to make(and the first mold was wrong)it looked like great stuff but I dont know if it ever hit the market?
Here is some I have used as well

Sluice Carpet Mat - ribbed vinyl matting

look at the vortex matting, it is the stuff they use in the gold cube. I run it in my lower box on my 4" dredge and it works great. you can get this matt at
http://www.mcmaster.com here is a part number "5994k718" to help in the search if you are interested.

does it clean out real easy?

in "self-cleaning" the water going down the sluice keeps the riffles clean of non-heavies, sort of like the matting at the first part of the Keene. It will eventually fill up and you then stand it in your bucket, or what I was doing is stand it upright in the pan and run water down it and flush out all the heavies. I use a cup to run the water down it but you could splash it. takes seconds and then you put it back in the stream.

If you watch my video in the last part of it I demonstrate the cleanout

has anybody used the gold hog matting?
