Thank you sir. The funny part is I haven't found a state button from the 3 regiments that lead me to this spot. Good luck today.

Any state button in that nice condition is a great find. Congrats! I hated digging those cow tags while CW digging. Every time I dug one, I thought it would be a US buckle! :D

Thanks. It seems to me that the state buttons were just made better then Eagle buttons.

I have the same one i dug at one of my favorite cellars in mint condition..But no gilt at all..

Its actually a Rhode Island Militia button:headbang:
