I found this recently, and was told it may be a Revolutionary War Dragoon button. Does anyone have any information on it? I found some similar ones online that were Revolutionary War Dragoon Buttons, but couldn't find an identical match. IMG_0378.webp

We really need to see the back to make a proper ID.

Please don't take pictures of relics in your hand. Lay them flat on a medium dark, non-reflective surface.

Nice looking button. Congrat's. Hopefully you can get a True I'D on this soon.

I've not found & no-one has provided any good references that these groups of 'Revolutionary War Dragoon Buttons' are as described.
There are left & right facing horse back riders, some with swords, some with whips. Various types, that don't follow the usual British Pattern progression, so I'm pretty sure these are NOT Military related.
Others may 'guess' otherwise, but they need to provided the proof that is lacking.
There are more similar Civilian examples like the cuff-link I IDed the other day. So a good starting point is a picture of the shank please?

As usual, CRUSADER makes some great observations. It could well be a cufflink. We need to see the back.

I'm thinking it is Napoleon. Based on his statue at Cherbourg or something similar.

I too immediately thought of Napoleon, he is famously depicted on a horse like that in several statues that I have seen

I like the Napoleon idea, it has a better chance the Rev War!
