Hello all hope your all swinging away finding the good stuff
Today I went back to a revolutionary war battle site
Almost unknown lest a blurb in a book I read
A one day skirmish
I found this site in December and I dug 2 six pounders
The next day I returned with bartek he dug 2 more
Plus a bunch of musket balls
I've been itching to get back there all winter
Today I was up with the birds stopped at a few sites along the way not much
A few wheats and some wazzits.
Then I went to the battle site I now have the deus with an 11 inch coil
They were deep but I was able to score 2 more today a great day hunting
Thanks for reading hh gl

Nice finds!

I don't hunt them, but I bet it's an amazing feeling if you do and you dig one, let alone 2 (I mean 6). Congrats :occasion14:

Charlie I swear every time I'm not there you guys dig cannonballs. Congrats on the stellar finds. I'm glad you and the Deus are sharing some love now. You just paid for your machine (even though I know you'd never sell).

Congrats bud

Now that a hunt for the books. what a thrill that must have been pulling all those. Wtg

That is really cool stuff, guy I know found a cannonball when he was preparing a driveway for concrete! Now everything is lost under the driveway.

Terrific finds! Looks like a great site to find very historic relics.Hope you get good advise on preserving those beauties.

Man, that is CRAZY!!! Wow. My congrats.

Great historical finds! Makes you wish they could tell you the story behind them. Glad you could save them and thanks for sharing.

Sweet finds...the ultimate "roundness in in hole". I've dug a few (14) and it's always a thrill when you realize what you're digging!

Awesome finds :occasion14:

4 pound bore .... this cannon is mounted on legs for display at the Springfield Armory, in Springfield , Mass.
Missing both wheels when recovered after the Rev War. Sunburst embossed on barrel designates cannon ball size .
