digging at the mysterious site again, in Shepherdsville KY, near the Bullitt's salt flat, i found quite a few lead bullets todays, I can't get diameter of them, but I was wondering about age or why there would be shot bullets all in a square area.

second I have what seems to be some kind of buckle, ID on age and maybe what it looked like as a whole, or what they came off of

third but not least I have a set of bone or ivory not sure handles from utensils, not sure on the age or if there would be makers mark on them.

Nice old finds. The item in the second photo on the right looks like the remains of a chape and tongue to a shoe buckle. :dontknow:

Without knowing the caliber of the lead balls that you dug, they all appear to be from the late 1700's to early 1800's. The ones we dig here in early sites look just like yours. Why are they all in one area is any ones guess but maybe a target shooting area. The iron buckle on the left (second picture) looks to be a generic pack buckle hard to date those. The bone handled utensils are also very old and look to be from the same time period as the lead musket balls. I too have dug several of those in early pioneer sites here in Tennessee. Good finds!
