Relic Hunting
This was found on the same slope as the lamp. On the top segment, which swivels freely, it reads "REVER RUBBER CO" and on the other side, "STANDARD". There is a no. 10 beneath the "D" in "STANDARD" and an "F" or "E" beneath the "V" in "REVERE." In the bottom piece, there is what appears to be wood. I am looking for-

The inside looks like the old Sulfur rubber type , it would get hard when aged and crumble . It was use quite a lot in the early 1900's for seals and even hard rubber wheels on autos. But what the part is for I do not know.
Also this type of rubber was use in both world wars for ( Bullet proof tires and wheels ) .
