wow. great finds.. the 1758 reale is it a half? sorry I cant help with the Rev war buttons, don't know much about them

Awesome hunting bud!!! Yea im no good about buttons but that reale is AWESOME!!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

looks like you are on to a great spot! congrats on the reale and rev. war buttons!

Your 2nd button might be a possible SC Dragoon button as you probably suspect, but I believe only Don T will be able to say, it is close to the one in his book, but not the exact duplicate from what I can see. The other button is also not an exact one to the books, but is most likely without a doubt a 4th SC Regiment button. Two killer finds for sure!!!!!!!

Don

The 4th is great, and definitely a rare one. (most are)The 2nd is very interesting and am curious to find out what it is. That's one heck of a day.

Yes the 4th is a definite "South Georgia Carolina" button! :tongue3: I am sure Don Troiani will want to see the photos and rough locations found, hope we get a followup Ron if you get some additional information from any source. Sure made your trip I am sure!!!

I don't think it seals the deal with the Georgia Regiment having been in Charleston. Had it not, then for sure! In fact, considering where the book one was found it probably is more likely GA Regt..

Damn... The SC Regt. was at Savannah. I think it will remain a mystery. Ron you need to dig another different 4th and solve it. ;D

Thanks for all the great info. I will try to gather some more info.

I will post if I get anything!!

Those pewter Rev War buttons are so fragile and I thank you for saving them

Great saves!!
