Did a two hour hunt today on a revolutionary site. Found a great stirrup made of brass. Not positive of the age but a fellow t-net friend of mine said it could very well be late 1700's. Problem was he was driving and couldn't more than glance at it.

I'm trying to find more info on the stirrup so please if you can positively ID it, chime in. Either way, I LOVE IT!!

Also found a barber quarter, button, and IHP's. Woohoo! Love this thing! Already looks great in the display and it's great to hear it's confirmed period. Merry Christmas to you and the Fam brother.

Thanks Brad. I knew what it was right away but texted 'ol Bill for confirmation. This is one serious relic and I'm beyond excited to add it to my case!

Thx Loco. It Turned out to be a good day despite almost nothing the first hour. The second hour I made all the finds.

Awesome! Nice finds !! That brass stirrup is cool, I found a rusty iron on a couple of weeks ago and two ox shoes not far away. Love that Barer too!!

That should take up a lot of blank space in a display! Nice relic. Merry Christmas Scraps.

Thanks DD. I heard a lot of stirrups of this era were made of iron and these were actually called English Rustproof. The Barber was 8" down - thought it was a lot older before I dug it;) oh well!
