Went with 'submerged' (Eddie) on a challenging hunt today. I started at the Robinson House where Benedict Arnold lived and found a musket ball, very large buckle probably from horse equipment and button (pattern on back, but nothing on front, probably not a uniform button). Then met up w/Eddie we hiked a steep old road to the top of the North Redoubt where there was a fort overlooking the Hudson River during the Rev War. You can still see the stone walls of the fort and the hut foundations, but the site has been pounded over the years and we didn't find anything of note. Best signal turned out to be a Rosie dime and not even silver. However, it was a great workout and one other good thing happened. When I got to the top I realized I had lost a new package of batteries I had been carrying, but had no idea where, as I had been all over the mountain. I had given up when on the way down I saw the package on the ground and we were randomly walking down the mountain and happened to pass the spot I dropped it, so that was a good way to end the day.
