Rev War Camp Finds - Beautiful Spanish Silver!

I had a great time at yesterday at a Revolutionary War American camp site! My best find was the 1781 One Reale in beautiful shape! This is surprisingly only my second Spanish Silver. My buddy Chuck found a 1736 cut pistareen & my buddy Chris found an early 1700s 2 Reale cob! I saw some amazing finds from others as well including bayonet frogs, Musket parts, around 50 musketballs etc. It was truly a privilege recovering history from a site where men camped that fought for our independence!

Brave men on that site were prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for their (and our) freedom. We owe them a lot. It is. We are researching to find out who was there, we think it’s a 1782 camp, Northern troops headed home from Charleston. I hope my luck has changed!
