It's tough to put a price on these, hence only cricket noises so far. The reality is there is only a handful of very serious collectors for Rev War buttons and they pay extremely well for what they want.... but what they want tends to be minty examples. If they can't get minty, but would still like one, they know they don't have to pay a premium because the base market for these tends to be pretty flat. What I mean is there's a lot of people that might pay up to $100 to have an example of a Rev War button, but the vast majority of those people are out for something even just $300-$400. Then when you get higher into the more desirable stuff the number of collectors only dwindles from there. When you compare rare coins to rare buttons the difference in demand is shocking. Many years back I got to know who the main guys are at the top, and always figured there had to be more, including some that probably paid higher.... but even to this day not a whole lot has changed and there has been no new multi millionaire collector to surface to sell the best relics too. There is no price guide, but that goes back to their being a limited supply and not a big enough demand, but I can tell you it's worth at least $200 (maybe a bit more) because that's what I'd probably pay.... and I'd do so hoping to get $300-$400. Someone else could very well go higher as it's all a matter of opinion, but just remember talk is cheap and don't always believe someone who quotes but is not willing to put the cash on the table.

PS: I would definitely keep that one!

Just keep in mind this is only my opinion and opinions can vary quite a bit, but I don`t think it`s a big money button so pretty easy to keep.

I agree.....But then again, I would have no problem parting with it!:laughing7:

Yeah I've pulled a fistful of hundreds out of the ground at times too. :headbang: (and a handful of thousands as well) :laughing7:
