Rev War button perhaps?

Hey all -- wondering if this might be a revolutionary war button. I'm thinking the crown designates it as British, and I think the letters are CR, but not certain. I've scoured the internet but haven't found any matches thus far. Hoping you guys can help me out!

Looks like a CB. If backmarked, it's 19th century.
