Hi all,

I️ just posted pics of my bottles and the cool lock I️found. What I️didn’t know was this entire time, I️had something incredible in my bag of recycle materials I️found around the site. Almost threw it away. I️REALLY NEED YOUR HELP ON THIS ONE! What on earth is this? How old is it? It weighs almost 4lbs. It’s insanely detailed, and she’s really beautiful. Any ideas? This was found on the battlefield site dating back to the revolutionary war.

As always, thank you for your time and help. I’m happy to share my finds with all of you.

Look's like a large radiator ornament from a very large, expensive car?

Now looking at your second set of pics, I'm sure that it is a hood ornament...........

Iowa Dale

It does look like one, but then again something pulls me away from thinking it is. It’s very heavy. Not sure if that’s normal or not for a hood ornament (don’t think I’ve ever held one before).

Also, this is weird, but when I️ washed it off with water and scrubbed it lightly with a toothbrush, it made a hissing/bubbling sound. Has anyone ever experienced that before? It was almost like the water and air caused a reaction. Sound familiar to anyone? Anyhow, if anyone thinks this piece may not be a hood ornament, I’d love to hear what you think it could be.

It does look like one of the “Flying Lady” hood ornament found on Cadillacs in the 30’s and early 40’s

Definitely a hood ornament or "mascot" from the 1910-1920's. Closest I've seen is 20's Stutz or Minerva from the teens.

Thanks all. By using your opinions on the object, I️ was able to figure out what it is. I’m 99 percent sure this is the exact same thing I️ found. It’s from a 1928 Buick. It’s not 1600s old like I’d hoped for, lol, it certainly looked it when I️ washed her off. I️ still love the Find regardless. Thanks for looking everyone.
