Reunion Medal

Found this in a park in Oklahoma City Tangled in the roots of a tree, I thought it was a dog license until I got it home and cleaned it up. It says Reunion Leav. Kan. 1897 I can't find anything that ties this in with it. There was a reunion in KS but no info. GAR?? Does anybody have a pic of one of these in better condition.

Thanks, I've searched for a pic to see what it may have looked like in better days. It was a pretty big tree it was under, I'm sure it's been there a while.

I can't reconcile the date of 1897 with the narrative under the pics I gave you in #2 above since Camp Alger was not established (then abandoned) in the subsequent year: 1898. More research is necessary.
