Thought this field was done but had a great weekend with a couple of cool buttons, an 1877 CC seated liberty dime, an old lock, an enfield bullet. Puzzling items are the two little nuggets, found seperately but they are very similar. Bottoms flat and looks gold, sides have 4 facets and top tapers down but is rounded? Thought it was a byproduct of something but then found a second one.

Very nice finds. The small round disk that has the piece that looks like a stem, this might be the zinc base off of a William's Cleaner bullet.

Found two of them in this field, thought it was some kind of rivet. There is a star on the center of the flat surface.

Nice relics always a blest hunting an old site. Well done Tommy

What does the back of the lock look like? And does the bullet have a base cavity or is it a slight indention? Asking because I think I found the same 2 things today

Thats pretty cool. I found those two items very close together. The back of the lock looks like the front but the front but the piece that hides the key hole is fixed vertically. The bullet is just a slight indention.

How cool! Here’s pics of my finds from yesterday. I was wondering what the brass piece was.

Thanks, that was one of our theories.

That is wild. I looked on line and couldn't find a lock like it anywhere.

ekeisler, just curious what part of the country you were in. I found these north of Charleston SC.

Congratualtions on the very nice finds! :icon_thumleft:
