Went back to the area I found my first silver half dollar at, and was rewarded with some more silver, a few wheat cents, a Mexican two centavos coin, two metal "play money" coins, a dog vaccination tag, a white "cats eye" marble, some sort of electrical insulator, a piece of (I believe to be lead, gouged the back side of it with my lesche) of heavy metal shaped like a badge (toy maybe?), and a thin sheet metal moth/butterfly looking whatcha macallit??? Found two of the wheats, one of the rosies, and the whatcha macallit under a cloths line in the back yard. Barely heard the signal from the rosie in the backyard, I would like to mow the lawn and hunt it again! Thanks for looking, hope ya enjoyed pics! HH Michael

3 silvers is a great day, and a foreign coin is always a nice surprise! Great hunt!

I think your butter fly piece is part of fireworks

Great hunt. Love those finds.

Great hunt Mike. Nailing silvers is always a great outing

Got yourself a honey hole there!!! I love it when a yard spits silver coins at you.:laughing7:

Like the silver. Does the dog tag have a date on it?

Dang, you're on a silver roll.
I would keep returning to that spot until it's "hunted out".
Congrats on more silver.

Hey, I notice you're using a TK Gamma. How do you like it??
I just got a Delta and freakin" LOVE that machine. I'm assuming yours is even sweeter.

But, mine seems to really like sniffing out the silver so far. I got two silver jewelry pieces over the last week or so since getting this machine. Both were in spots I've hunted more than few times in the past and completely missed it.

For the foreseeable future, I'm a TK man. I can see that yours seems to be treating you VERY well.

No date on this one, appears to be from Ill., odd, as I found it here in Chillicothe Ohio.

Found this one at the same site a few days back. It is an Ohio tag, dated 1965

Love my TK Gamma! It's a wonderful machine, very light, easy to use, very sensitive (even to minutely small crap), plenty deep, very accurate target ID and depth readings, and it LOVES silver! I have found a lot of silver this year with it (more rings and other jewelry than coins), as well as four gold rings (10 & 14K), 3 or 4 gold filled rings, and a few gold plated items (a couple of rings, a small locket, and a cross pen). Silver or clad, it is an absolute coin killer! I have the 11" DD coil, and use it a lot, especially when there is a lot of ground to cover, like soccer fields ect. I have the 5" DD as well (Found my first mercury dime, and 3 of the 4 gold rings with it), and it is really good in trashier, tight, or brushier areas. It's probably my favorite coil to use on the Gamma. It doesn't give up a whole lot in depth compared to the larger coils (stock 8", 11" DD), is really stable, and makes pinpointing stupid easy. I recently purchased a Garrett AT Gold, and have been using it quite a bit more than my Gamma. I really like it as well. The more I use it, the more I like it. It has taken some learning on my part (STILL learning), it's a whole different animal than my TK (different sounds, ID numbers, setup, ect.) I still use my Gamma with the 11" DD on it almost exclusively at the soccer fields or anywhere else I want to cover a lot of ground. Most all of the finds I posted recently, including today, were found with the AT Gold on private property (Friends of mine from church, and their neighbors) in a 1950s neighborhood, front and back yards. I do plan to go over the yards again with my Gamma (I do know that machine better) and.........who knows. Oh, and when I think it's all hunted out, I plan to go back with the 15" Nel attack coil I recently bought for the AT Gold, just to be sure there is nothing deeper than what I already found (that is, once I learn how to use that monster coil LOL!). Take care Garrett424, HH and best of luck to you!!! Michael

Thank you for sharing your hunt and those pictures with us

Nice triple silvers. GL&HH!

Nice finds! Your Moth/butterfly thing is the pour spout from a salt box.

The dog tag from Chanute AFB would be prior to 1993 as the base was decommissioned that year. Dropped by a airman on leave maybe? I think the fact that it is military related makes it even neater.
