Yesterday I revisited the area that I tried to cover on my Birthday. I had noticed a few acres on Thursday that had promise but I didn't have enough daylight. A few hills with good sized boulders, a field that is used sometimes for park concerts, and a large grove of huge old trees. I started swinging the coil at 9 A.M. and with the exception of a short lunch break, I didn't stop until 6:30 P.M.

The one thing that became pretty obvious was that no one had detected these parcels of land recently. The amount of larger targets including quarters and medallion size objects and the discolored tone they had from being in the ground for awhile, kind of had me leaning in the direction of no one has been through here in awhile. Lots of clad. It took a long time but I finally uncovered a silver dime about an hour before I quit. Lots of interesting items and a total of 186 coins including 3 Canadian Pennies.
My finds for the day were: 48q, 38d,3n, 84 memorials, 9 Wheat Pennies, (44(2), 46(2), 51d, 51s, 52, 55, & 56.)3 Canadian Pennies, and a 1948s Roosevelt Dime.
I also recovered a Coat of Arms Shield, a First Communion Pin, a brass tag for The Nash - Seaman Factories, part of a Silver Heart Earring, a Show World Token, (Burlesque), a tor car, a brass chain, and a few chunks of scrap copper and brass.
My Silver Coin Count for 2015 now totals 125 Coins.
