We were going finish off a small section of the Power Line Trench but there was still construction nearby (H&S!), so onto plan B.
We returned to the Buckle Field, as there has been plenty of rain (including during our hunt) & we did a very good hunt last time with the Viking Coin.
After 3 hours 15 minutes this was the result:

Nice Tombac Button
Scarce type of Tudor Button
Scarce piece of Saxon Pot Shard
2 Jettons
17th C Buckle (Good one)
Medieval Book Mount
Roman Pin Head
On the way back to the car I got a nice 1st C AD Roman Fibula (Brooch).

We found out from the owner why so many of our buckles come up whole - it was a grass field until a few years ago!

I would say banner... but these are common finds for you :P

J/k

Really nice Fibula and buckle, too bad the one Jetton was broken as it's in crisp condition. I haven't seen a Tudor button like that one, good find.

Yeap that Jetton (Scarce type for me, maybe 2 others) was a shame.

That type of Tudor Button, I only have 1 other.

True none of these are banner worthy by British standards but they are all welcome finds in July!

Hello CRUSADER Very nice old stuff you dig over there. Here in Central FL I am happy to find things from the 1900's. Had to look up what a jetton is. Thanks for the post and good luck. C9

Like the fibula! Must been a very nice one, looks like it was silver plated?

Probably tinned, as there is some signs, what is nice is that patina has not been knocked off by the plough.

Yeap, a counting token on an exchequers board.

Banner worthy or not is a matter of opinion. The age of your relics blows us in the states away as always. Love it hope your Dad pulled some targets as well!

You & your father's finds are always awesome! It's like touring a museum every time you post! Nice!
