Recently retired was thinking about taking a trip out west. Looking at prospector clubs . Open to suggestions. Where would you go?
Any thoughts would be appreciated

Take your time and do your research into where ,how your prospecting skills work best for you ! Also look into clubs that fit your type of prospecting and when you find one , join their club for access to their claims and attend one or more of their meetings. You never know , you may find a friend or friends fore ever ! Good luck and let us know how you do ! And WELCOME to the club for your first post !

Let me know if you are gonna be in or near South Calif, it's not the bad place some make it out to be, I can't offer in field prospecting, we could spend time prospecting here at my mill site probably find more yeller than you could club hunting.

About the only club still open, worth a look I know is UPI https://www.unitedprospectors.com/ I haven't done anything with them in over 20 years but they will give a nice selection over northern CA for you to dip a pan.
