First Grouping: More of thsoe samples are Tourmaline with maybe a few small Obsidian
Second Grouping: Tourmaline again, However, You diffantly have Emeralds (Green Areas) within a shist/matrix (black areas)
Third Grouping: Star Ruby (light Pinkish color stones) Ruby (darker color stones)
Forth Grouping: Sodalite (Blue Stone) in a white quartz host.
Last Grouping: Fluorite or Clacite.. But then again.. could be Aquamarine.

Thank you very much for your help...Now I can place them and label them before we head out again this weekend to a new location.

I need to make a possiable correction.. The Black Tourmaline/green stone/crystal combo image (seen below) could be that of green Tourmaline instead of Emerald.. Also.. just wanted to make a comments about your thrift store find.. this small grouping of stones can typiclaly be found in seeded buckets vie Gem mines and road side attractions.. Even caverns or caves. Sluicing locations are easy to access and setup up tourest. Even a few museums have these "sift through sand" setups.. I'm not saying these arent a good/great find.. Just wonder how much you spent on the box/container because a small grouping like your images would cost about $25.00 spent sifting through one bucket or in your case stream.

Not sure what hardness a penny is, first thought was flourite. Not sure though.
Host rock is probably some kind of Mica schist.

Could you find a freshly exposed surface on one or multiple pieces? Would like to get an idea of the lustre.
I think it could aid in ID.

Top left one has a resemblance of black Tourmaline.
Try scratching it again, shouldn't get scratched by a knife.

Quite likely to be low grade pink sapphire.

Probably garnet.

Looks familiar, sodalite or Lapis Lazuli? A little vinegar or other weaker acid should tell.
Drip a little bit onto the white-ish stuff. Lapis can have calcite and it would bubble and fizzle.
Just make sure to clean it off in water later.

Check hardness again, my first guess would be quartz. Otherwise I have no idea.

What ever it is it looks familiar. Just can't recall what it's called.

You are exactly right on all of them..I had them checked while on a hunt Saturday..the blue and white turned out being sodalite and the last picture unable to id as well
