Hi! Some of you were interested to see my Gold Rush knife posted after it's restoration. I found the knife in a gold rush camp in Yuba county 2 months ago and it has now been restored by an excellent craftsman. The knife was bent and the tip was broken off. The blade is now mended, completely flat, and was given scales of real camel bone to most closely match the originial Sheffields of the 1840's. I don't often choose restoration for the relics I find, but I knew this one would look great in my collection. So, the pics show before and after restoration, with a beauty shot of the knife and a few of my other best finds. The buckle, coins, and the rock were also founds in old Gold Rush sites around Sacramento. Thanks!
