I never miss an opportunity to pick up something 'antique' that has been put out for trash, especially if I can restore it and sell it! I found this lamp sitting at the curb, down the street from my warehouse a couple of weeks ago and couldn't pass it up! I actually reversed my van back up the street to get it after I drove past! This lamp was Made in Canada by the Lang Brothers Manufacturing Co. in the 1920's or 30's. I completely restored, painted & rewired this lamp with a tri-light bulb socket, I did this in my spare time at my warehouse over the past few weeks. The base is made of cast iron that has a beautiful impressed pattern. The lamps shaft as well as all of the lamps accents are made of solid brass; this lamp was definitely made to last forever, not like the lamps produced today! The lamp stands 64" tall to the top of the shade, the base is 12" wide and the glass shade is 16" at its widest point. I have outfitted this lamp with a high quality caramel colored glass shade, which is in a 'Deco Period' style; this lamp looks absolutely gorgeous when lit!
I have included 'before & after' pics, thanks for looking!
