I have a rest area fairly close to me and this is the second piece of real jewelry I have found there the first was a gold religious pendant and now a silver pendant.Plus the usual clad and pull tabs. 100_4674.JPG100_4675.JPG100_4676.JPG

Good stuff!! Rest area, who wouda thought?? Tony

Think about how many people go through there in a day and people get out stretch, exercise or throw a blanket down to eat or just lay down for awhile or let the kids play. I drive truck so I have laid over at many a rest areas and people use them just like the parks and ball fields we normally hunt.

Nice Pendant

I remember as a kid, rest areas were part of traveling. My family packed our lunch, you didn't stop at a restaurant, besides I don't remember that many MickyD's in the 60's. I know they were around, just not the way we did it I guess.

Nice! Congrats on your silver pendant find! Treasure is where you find it!

I forgot to tell you how nice that silver medallion is, It's always cool to see that word sterling on a find!

You can't pump your own gas, you don't stop at restaurants....what other quirks does Jersey have, lol?
Nice Sterling. I have always wondered about rest areas but my trips are usually around 12 hour ones, so I am always more interested in reaching the destination.
