My job was getting in the way of my metal detecting, so I quit! I don't start my new job until next week, so I took the opportunity to go to a new spot near my home.

Last week I noticed a new nature trail sign so I checked it out today and found this 1898 Barber Dime. It is not in the best shape, but with the beautiful weather we are having here in the Northeast the Barber was more than enough!

Of course, I could work at detecting all the time. It is good that you can taylor a job around detecting.

Nice dime! Looks a little blackened, let me guess! Near the ocean.....or.....in the pines?

Very nice find. Can't wait to find a Barber dime myself.
Good luck at the new job. Make sure you lay down the MD ground rules to them right up front. ;D

Nice Barber dime!

My first silver dime found is still my oldest silver dime! a 1909 Barber Dime! I've found a few more Barber dimes since but they have all been 1911, 1912, 1913, 1914, & 1916.
