Found the "King of Clad" today! Also got a mystery foreign coin it read out 12 - 08 on my E-Trac. Think I used to have some stamps that pictured a guy wearing glasses on them, was some country in Asia don't recall which one. This coin doesn't even have a readable date sadly. If anyone can I.D. it would be great to know!

Yeah it is hard to imagine someone passing a coil over one and not digging! Finding a spot that hasn't had a coil over it all-ready out here is tough, but sometimes it happens !

Have the coin soaking in Baby Mineral Oil for now will try that if someone doesn't get an ID thanks =)

Thanks wheatfinder13, glad to have found it , am wondering if it is the silver plated version proof (the strike is quite bold looking) and the spot where found was often wet or moist , some kid might have busted it out of the holder and then carried it around till losing it ?!?

Thanks silversurfer I think that finding a silver plated Ike is a lot less common that finding regular silver coins, not for sure on mine but suspecting that maybe the case, waiting to see if others think this might be true. Silver turns black when tarnished given that this spot was wet and also had some time with air getting through the coverage also..

Thanks mdmaniac I about had a heart attack when I expanded the digging (already was a deep one) and this round wheel thing went rolling around in the bottom of it ! Maybe laying on edge?
