It is my sister's. She is holding onto it for sentimental reasons (it belonged to a friend of hers who died at age 35).

I figure this is the place to ask about it.

Perhaps some kind sould would be able to at least point me in the right direction.

Here are some pics of it. Pic #2 is a close up of a stamp on the blade...I think it says "Moreyo".

And then on the other side, in raised lettering (which looks handwritten somehow) it says in Spanish "Donde Este Se Mete No Hay Evien? Repete?". The last two words are hard to read, but I believe they are 90% correct. Only one letter in each word I am not sure of.

The blade is rusty, and in addition to the stamp and raised lettering there are kind of raised flowing lines drawn along the length of both sides:

The Spanish inscription loosely translated means....This Sword will make our fight uneven or Where This One puts There is No Evien.

Cool peice, but I am not sure if its says Moreyo".

I agree. The M, R, E & O are pretty easy, but what I am calling a "Y" I really do not know what it is. And what is between the M & R could very well be a "G". It is a mystery for sure.

Seems to me that translation generally would mean something like "Where This Sword Goes, Nothing Can Win Against It".

Certainly if someone inscribed on the blade something like "This Sword Will Always Be Dull", it would not inspire any confidence in the person wielding it lol!
:D

Ahhh...after much searching I came up with this:

Identical handle, different words on the blade. The guy who sold this on ebay says it was a bull-fighter's sword.

Personally I never saw a bullfighting sword like this...all the ones I ever saw were more like a rapier.
I am not of the opinion the ebay dude knows what it is either.
Oh well.

does there look like a piece could be missing from the handle?
