I've never been a collector of buttons, so I know nothing whatsoever about them. This is a button I found today in a park in northern Massachusetts that has been graded/dug up in preparation for a new playground. I have no idea how old the park is, but in two days I've found probably $2 in clad ranging from 1966-2000 as well as a 1919 lincoln penny and this button. I wouldn't normally even bother keeping something like a button but it seemed so heavy and when I rinsed it off, I could see some printing on the back.

I expected it to say "Levi's" or something similar, but after looking very closely it says "EXTRA RICH" in one direction and "LEDSAM'S" in the other direction. The printing is stamped into the metal and as I said, it has a "solid" and heavy feel to it.

I did a quick little search and the only info. I could find relates to a Thomas Ledsam button company that apparently made buttons from roughly 1800-1850. Considering the age of the coins I've found there, it would really surprise me if the button is that old, so I was just hoping perhaps someone here could help out with a little more information. The front of the button is quite worn and there is no indication of any design or anything.

Thanks in advance for any help.
